Dr. Kim Sun-Hong (Sunhong Kim) is a board-certified ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat) specialist and rhinoplasty surgeon currently practicing at GNG Hospital in Gangnam, Seoul.

After completing her residency in otolaryngology at Catholic University and a clinical fellowship in rhinology at Bucheon St. Mary's Hospital, Dr. Kim developed deep expertise in both the aesthetic and functional dimensions of nasal surgery — including open rhinoplasty with rib cartilage, modified extracorporeal septoplasty, and endoscopic sinus procedures.

What sets Dr. Kim apart is her eye for the whole face. Before any surgical plan is made, she studies each patient's unique facial structure — bone structure, facial proportions, skin tone, and even how they naturally present themselves day-to-day. Makeup habits, styling choices, and personal aesthetic preferences all inform the conversation. The goal is a nose that looks like it has always belonged to your face.

She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Catholic University focusing on olfactory function — reflecting her commitment to evidence-based, medically grounded care. Her research has been published in leading journals including Laryngoscope, Clinical Otolaryngology, and Cells, and she has contributed a chapter to the ELSEVIER textbook Controversies in Rhinoplasty.

Form Follows
Function

Every rhinoplasty I perform begins with a thorough functional evaluation. Beauty and breathing are not opposing goals — when approached correctly, they reinforce each other.

My background in ENT and rhinology means I evaluate the nose as a whole — anatomically, functionally, and aesthetically — before any surgical plan is made.

i.

Comprehensive Consultation

In-depth discussion of your goals, medical history, and facial analysis. Understanding your expectations is the foundation of great results.

ii.

CT-Based Structural Assessment

Radiological evaluation of nasal anatomy addresses both aesthetic and functional dimensions with surgical precision.

iii.

Individualized Surgical Plan

No template procedures. Your plan considers your bone structure, facial proportions, skin characteristics, and personal aesthetic — including how you present yourself day-to-day. A nose that suits your face, not a trend.

iv.

Long-Term Follow-Up

Recovery support and monitoring — including telemedicine follow-up for international patients — to ensure optimal healing.

"The goal is never to change who you are — it is to reveal the best version of the face you were born with."
